Black sand cliffs, Kuaia
This image was taken in Hawaii, like all the rest over my spring break. It shows some cliffs, and some green growing on top, but I think the main point of interest our eyes are drawn to is the contrast. With the water on the rock, and the green on the rock. It makes for a very colorful photo while only really having 3-4 colors.
Waterfall, Maoi
This is one of the bigger waterfalls, and is part of either a state park or national park. I can't quite remember. I think this image shows off a straight line down the center quite well though, and while it isn't the most contrasting image, our eyes are still drawn to the center if only for the water.
Black rock volcanic cliffs Kuaia
This image shows off quite well an action shot of a wave crashing into one of Hawaii's volcanic rock cliffs. I tried to get a better angle, or something more close up, but any rocks closer were slippery, and that would be a bad spot to fall. Overall though I'm proud of this image.
National park, Kuaia
This is one of the state parks and reminds me of Arizona a lot for some reason. Perhaps it's the redish rock. I like this image a lot though, as the top of these hills were flat, if I had gone much higher you would have been able to see the tops, which was not my intention.
Waterfall at the end of hike, Kuaia
This is a much shorter waterfall, although I believe much wider. Like the previous waterfall, I think it shows off a line really well. I guess our eyes are just naturally drawn to moving water.
